About us and what we do…

IJC are a family owned company who specialise in extremely low mileage cars...

As you’ve probably seen - IJC were voted as a "Top 5 best car dealer in the UK" by Car dealer magazine.
Our team are very proud of this as we were chosen from over 800 Car dealers in the UK!

In 2020 we received an award for "highly recommended for customer service" from industry leading Autotrader for the fifth consecutive year.

We only choose the very best examples of very low mileage vehicles ranging from delivery mileage to having just a few thousand miles on them, due to the previous owners circumstances. (As all driving has been limited during 2020 the low mileage cars we normally purchase are even lower mileage than before!)

These outstanding cars are all privately owned one-owner vehicles, most have an itemised - full main dealer service history and are often the automatic versions with a higher seating position for easier access. We will normally have both the automatic and the manual versions of the same vehicle in stock at ijccars.co.uk.

Our low mileage cars often generate high quality part-exchange vehicles up to 10 years old. We will only retail the very best examples and huge savings can be made from the original cost new list price.

We source our vehicles direct from Motability (a government-funded scheme for disabled people.) These cars are in fact totally standard and "un-adapted" vehicles without any modifications whatsoever.

All vehicles are independently checked with a multi-point inspection including a New MOT (if applicable) and oil service by our on-site long term business colleagues - MA Stephenson’s Mot, service and diagnostic repair centre. To access their website (Please Click Here)

All vehicles are fully prepared for retail prior to purchase and are available with a choice of the balance of the manufacturers warranty (if applicable), or an optional nationwide warranty for 1, 2 or 3 years - for full warranty details (Please Click Here). As standard IJC offer a 100 day “return to base,” no quibble warranty which covers major mechanical and electrical parts and labour.

Q. So how do I actually proceed and buy a car?

Due to high demand and with staff on furlough - we will call you back within just a few minutes or as quickly as possible but please note if you do not recieve a call back on the same day this will be due to an unscheduled day/weekend off due to our excessive additional workload! Please Note -

At this point, we will answer any questions you have and go through the features and benefits of the car including the specification and service history.

Q. Do you accept part-exchange?

Yes. (Subject to mileage, price and condition). We are happy to accept low mileage cars as older high mileage cars will be offered to the trade, acceptance of these is subject to a trade "underwrite" and valuation. If you have part exchange we will give you a price during our call. We will discuss exactly how you can part-exchange your car (subject to agreement of price and condition.)

At this stage we will ask you just one simple question...

Would you like to proceed and buy the car?

If the answer is "Yes" - we will email an invoice to you with the cars details needed for insurance and our bank details so that you can make a secure on-line payment.

If you don’t do on-line banking we can also take payment securely over the phone just as though you were here with us at the premises. All you will need is a debit card. If you do choose to pay securely over the phone a verification email receipt will be sent via email direct from "World pay" during this transaction.

If the answer is "No" we will thank you for your time and will be available in the future should you decide to choose us.

Communication is our strong point and you’ll be updated every step of the way as your new car will normally be ready on the same day or usually within 24 hours!

Q. How do I collect my new car?

An agreed day, date and time will be finalised during the sale. Any relevant paperwork including the service history sheet/records will be left in your new car. The safe location of where we leave your new keys will be given on the day of collection.

Q. How do I choose the optional nationwide delivery?

Please note this is only available on selected vehicles so please ask for further information. To offer a guide price - the independent delivery company's fees are usually £1.30 per mile with a minimum cost of £99. Using Google route maps on-line please use the postcode LN11 8LQ to your current locations postcode for a quick, estimated quote. All delivery transactions are fully insured and are subject to availability.

Q. How do I tax my new car?

Your new "V5" (registration document) will be left in the glove box of your new car. To tax an "Ex-Motability" car for the first time you will need to go direct to the local post office prior to driving your vehicle. You will arrive at IJC, collect the paperwork and go to the nearest Post office in Louth which is located at 25b Northgate Ln11olt (contact number 01507 601886.)

Next year you can tax your new car on-line but you must request the Post office simply change the taxation class back from "disabled" to the relevant "petrol or diesel" taxation class.

You will be advised if the car you have purchased is not an "Ex-Motability" vehicle (For example; a part-exchanged car to IJC.) If this is the case and you will be provided with the "Document Reference Number" via email immediately after full payment has received, this will allow you to tax the car on-line prior to collection.

Any vehicle returned is subject to a visual inspection and a £500 retaining fee applies to all cars returned until IJC receive the full V5 registration document from the customer. Any monies transferred to the customer may take up to 10 working days to clear due to each individual banks processing system.
Any Part-exchanged vehicles may subject to a mechanical inspection which may include engine diagnostic report to ensure the vehicle has no “known fault codes” stored meaning the vehicle has been knowingly part-exchanged with defects. Please advise IJC of any such faults prior to purchasing a vehicle.
